Kushal Tandon was born on 28 March 1985 Lucknow. He belongs to a Politician Family. His grandfather is a Member of BJP and currently serving as 22nd Governor of Madhya Pradesh. His father Billu Tandon owns a transport and oil business and His mother’s name is Sandhya Tandon. He is also the president of the Transport Union in UP. Kushal is the younger one in his family, He has two elder sisters Tina Tandon and Bhavana Tandon.

Controversies	In 2015, Kushal again captured headlines when he went into a Twitter war with the actress, Ameesha Patel. The fight began after Tandon’s tweet about a girl not standing up for the national anthem at the movie theatre in Juhu and later revealing that the girl was Ameesha Patel to which Ameesha Patel replied that she was going through monthly girls problem and the actress also accused him of forcing girls to talk about their girly problems. Kushal Tandon landed into a controversy after getting into a physical fight with his co-contestant, VJ Andy, inside the Big Boss 7 house. Kushal lost his temper when Andy made some cheap comments on his then-girlfriend, Gauhar Khan’s lingerie.

He completed his schooling from Scindia School, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Then he completed his graduation from Hansraj College, Delhi University. He was very active in sports in his school days and has played hockey at the state level.

In 2005, he participated in Grasim Mr. India and emerged as the 1st runner up of the show. Thereafter, he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue an acting course from the New York Film Academy (NYFA).

Career

After his training period, Kushal was offered an opportunity to perform in the TV show – Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. Kushal gained huge popularity for his role as Virat Singh Vadhera, in the TV series. In order to impart the natural essence of his character of a cancer patient, he had shaved his hair completely in this TV series.

Due to his handsome look, he was given the position number 6 in the Eastern Eye UK Magazine for the list of 50 Sexiest Asian Men in the year 2012.

Tandon participated in the TV show Nach Baliye season 5 with his partner Elena Boeva. Consequently, in the year 2013, he got an opportunity to participate in the popular reality show Bigg Boss season 7. Also, Kushal is participated in the reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi-5.
