Varun Chakravarthy made a debut in First-class Cricket on 12 November 2018. The first match was between Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad. In the same year, he debuted in List A cricket of India matches on 20 September 2018. He Played from Tamil Nadu and the match between Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. After, he got chance to play in the Indian’s biggest league “Indian Premium league” on 27 March 2019. The match was between Kolkata Knight Riders vs Kings XI Punjab.

He left his job at the age of 25 years and selected cricket to make his career. After, he entered Crombest Cricket Academy to play cricket. Unfortunately, he injured in the second match. Then, he had not got a chance to play cricket because of a knee injury. So, Varun Chakravarthy tried to spin blowing. He used tennis balls for practicing on 18 yards pitch. He learned many variations in spin bowling during that time period.

After he was famous for his spin bowling and people gave a new name “Mystery Spinner”. Finally, he got an opportunity to play in the Tamil Nadu Premier League at the age of 27 years. He was a part of the Siechem Madurai Panthers team. His team won this league because of his excellent performance.
