Sybil Wilkes officially started her career in 1985 in radio while working as a production assistant with WKQX-FM, Chicago. After that she became a news reporter and manager at many big radio station such as WINK-AM/FM, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Florida; WRCC-FM, Charlotte, WCKZ-FM, North Carolina. Later in 1989, she joined WGCI-AM/FM, Chicago where she worked as a talk show host. In very next year she started working as a reporter for Chicago’s Shadow Traffic Network. At the time of working for Shadow Traffic Network she used to announce morning and afternoon drive traffic updates and also worked among the TOm joyner’s WGCI-FM sidekicks.

She is very popular celebrated news and journalist, she has interviewed many popular persons such as Senator John Edwards, Ex American President Barack Obama and former American President Bill Clinton. She started “Sybil’s Book Club” in 1996. The show features American and African authors at face to face events.
