Subodh Bhave is an Indian Actor, Director and Producer. Who mainly works in Marathi films and Television. He is notable name in the Marathi cinema. He was born and brought up in Pune. He did his schooling from NMV High School, Pune and He has done his graduation from Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce in Pune. Before starting acting he used to job in an IT Company. He made his acting debut from Marathi movie Mahatma Basweshwar in 1990. Later has done some notable movies including Aai Shappath..!, Sakhi, Sanai Choughade, Ek Daav Dhobi Pachhad, Hapus, etc. But she received national popularity from biographical films Balgandharva based on Marathi stage actor Bal Gandharva. This movie becomes a super hit. His performance highly appreciated by critics and audiences. This movie won three National Film Awards. He also won Best Actor Award in Zee Gaurav Awards and MIFTA. Later He has done Lokmanya Ek Yugpurush Biographical film based on Lokmanya Balgangadhar Tilak. This movie won Best Film award in 52nd Maharashtra State Awards. And officially selected for the 17th London Asian Film Festival. Same Year Subodh made her directorial debut from Katyar Kaljat Ghusali based on Marathi play with the same name. He also acted in this movie. This movie becomes a commercial hit and 3rd Highest Grossing film in Marathi Cinema.
