Early Life:

Subir Nandi was born on November 19, 1953, in Habiganj, Sylhet, East Bengal (now Bangladesh). Born in a music-loving family where his father Sudangshu Nandi was passionate about music and the mother could sing a song fantastically. He was so much interested in the music arena from early childhood and began to take a lesson on music with his brothers to the Babur Ali Khan. However, Subir introduced with the music from the mother. Most of the childhood time passed in the tea garden due to his father job where stayed until 5 years old. But he studied in Habiganj city there was a house of them. Subir studied at Habiganj Govt. High School. Then he enrolled at Brindavan College.

Subir Nandi Career:

Subir Nandi kicked off the journey in the music arena in 1970 through the recording at the Dhaka Radio. He sang more than 25000 songs in his 40 years musical career. At first Radio then Television, and Cinema, he showed off wonderful singing performance. Subir made debut in the film industry with the ‘Surjograhan’ in 1976.
