Life Journey

Sivakarthikeyan got his primary education at Campion Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. Later, he went to J. J. College of Engineering and Technology, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, and completed his graduation in Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in CSE. He then enrolled at IIPM, Chennai, and pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Sivakarthikeyan participated in various cultural events and performed standup comedy and mimicry on stage during college time. He took three months break from studies and went for auditions of Kalakka Povathu Yaaru, a reality comedy show which is aired on Star Vijay. He ended up winning the show and with that win, he came to the limelight.

Career

Sivakarthikeyan set foot into the television industry as a reality show contestant and later he gained visibility because of his comedy reality show on the television channel. Sivakarthikeyan faced many rejections for jobs as an anchor in a leading television channel at that time. After that, Sivakarthikeyan made his debut as a leading man with the movie ‘Marina’, which was released on 3 February 2012.  Sivakarthikeyan was a struggling stand-up comedian during college days. He started his career as a mimic artist on Star Vijay and also won his first show.

After watching his performance as a stage host in Super Singer Junior, Aishwarya Dhanush approached Siva for a supporting role in her movie titled ‘3’.  During 2010, He played the role of an anchor in many reality shows. Then in 2012, Sivakarthikeyan made his debut in a film named Marina as the lead actor. Shiva signed director Pandiraj’s film Marina for the lead role.

In 2013, Sivakarthikeyan did three movies named ‘Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga’ a comedy film; ‘Ethir Neechal’ directed by R.S. Durai Senthilkumar, and ‘VaruthapadathaValibar Sangam’ Ponram’s comedy film. With the prominent act and work ethic, Sivakarthikeyan received positive reviews for his performance from critics. In 2014, Siva signed A.R. Murugadoss’s comedy film ‘Maan Karate’. He once again paired up with D. Senthilkumar for the action film ‘Kakki Sattai’ in 2015.

Then he featured in films like Rajini Murugan and Remo along with Keerthy Suresh in 2016. Sivakarthikeyan signed up for ‘Velaikkaran’ an action thriller movie directed by Mohan Raja, in 2017.
