Political Career

Since 2012, Poonamben becomes a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from Khambhalia. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, she was a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party from Jamnagar and Poonamben was won the Lok Sabha election. after than September 2014, She was nominated as a member in many potions like the Standing committee on the industry, Parliamentary committees including the committee on the empowerment of women, ministry of civil aviation, and consultative committee. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, she was again a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party from the Jamnagar and again won the Lok Sabha election.
