About Nandamuri Balakrishna

Nandamuri Balakrishna was born 10 June 1960, also known as NBK and Balayyababu or simply Balakrishna, is a film actor and Indian politician known for his work mainly at Telugu cinema. He is the sixth son of the Telugu movie actor and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. T. Rama Rao. Child at the age of fourteen, he entered the film industry with the film Tatamma Kala (1974). Recognized for his high-level concept, his high-voltage artists and his extraordinary dialogues, Balakrishna has performed in over one hundred feature films in a variety of roles.

Nandamuri Balakrishna was born in 1960 in Chennai (at the time Madras), from Tamil Nadu to actor Telugu and three times to the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and his wife Basavatarakam. While the Telugu film industry was based in Madras at the time, he spent his entire childhood in Madras. During his adolescence, he moved to Hyderabad after the transfer of the Telugu film industry to that city. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Nizam College, Hyderabad, Telangana. In 1982, at the age of 22, he married Vasundhara Devi.
