Milind Soman is a well-known Indian supermodel, actor, film producer, and fitness promoter. He is also called the Ironman and Marathon Man of Bollywood as he completed the ‘Ironman Triathlon’ in his first attempt.

Milind Soman was born in a Brahmin Hindu family on 4 November 1965 in Glasgow, Scotland (UK). Milind is brought up in an educated family as his grandparents were doctors, his father Late Prabhakar Soman was a nuclear scientist, and his mother Usha is a biochemist. Soman has 3 sisters Netra, Medha, and Anupama.

In 1992, Milind and former model Madhu Sapre were in a relationship, but they soon broke up. Later, Milind came into a relationship with French actress Mylene Jampanoi in 2006. In the same year, they got married in Goa and after three years they got separated in 2009. Then, Milind had an affair with the model/actress Dipannita Sharma, actress Gul Panag, and actress Shahana Goswami. In 2014, he again fell in love with a 27 years old air hostess Ankita Konwar from Assam. On 21 April 2018, Both tied the knot in a traditional Maharashtrian wedding in Alibaug, Mumbai.

Controversies	• In 1995, Milind and his then-girlfriend Madhu Sapre posed nude with a python wrapped in a print advertisement for Tuff Shoes. The advertisement faced a lot of criticism from women’s as well as animal rights’ groups. As a result, the advertisement was withdrawn, and a case of obscenity was filed against both Soman and Sapre, but in 2009, both were acquitted after the witnesses turned hostile. • Ever since the news came out about his relationship with Ankita Konwar, a girl half his age, he has been constantly trolled on social media for their age difference.

Milind Soman completed his schooling at the Dr. Antonio Da Silva High School and Jr. College of Commerce, Dadar, Mumbai. Then, he completed a diploma in Electrical Engineering degree from M. H. Saboo Siddik Polytechnic, Byculla.

Milind Soman started his career as a model with Graviera Suitings in 1988. During the 1990s, after working in the modeling field, Milind appeared in TV shows including Captain Vyom, A Mouthful of Sky, and Margarita. In the year 1995, Soman also appeared in the Alisha Chinas hit song Made in India.

Career

After appearing in some TV shows Milind took his career one step forward and decide to enter into the film industry. He first appeared in Tarkieb by playing the role of Captain Ajit Verma in 2000. In the next couple of years, Milind did some average success movies including Pyar Ki Dhun, 16 December, Agni Varsha, Rules: Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula, Surya, and Jurm.

In 2007, he appeared in Bhram, Say Salaam India, and Bheja Fry. Milind has also performed in a number of English language movies and other foreign films such as Valley of Flowers, The Flag, and the Swedish film Arn – The Knight Templar. Milind portrayed Saladin, the revered 12th-century Kurdish leader of the Arabs and Muslims.

In 2010, he participated in the stunt/dare reality show ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 3’ but was shockingly the first to get eliminated. Milind who had earlier produced Rules-Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula also produced a children’s TV serial called Ghost Bana Dost. Soman tried to personify his own childhood fantasy and fears with the serial. In 2017, he, along with Malaika Arora, judged the third season of India’s Next Top Model.
