Mila Islam was born on March 26, 1978, in the port city, Chittagong, Bangladesh to the father, Shahed Islam, and mother, Shopna Islam. Father was an army officer where her mother was a Giti singer. Mila was largely impressed by her mother’s musical career and dreamed of at early life to become a singer. Therefore, she began to take training on music from the mother and a professional trainer. Especially, she would take the lesson in classic music and very early of career but she turned passion into western pop and rock music very shortly. Mila studied at Chittagong Grammar School and College, from where she completed HSC.

Mila Islam began her career journey with performing in the local weddings ceremony, especially in ‘Gae-Holuds’ in Chittagong where she lived with husband Raj Ahmed. Then she moved to Dhaka pursued to build up a career in the music industry and accomplish debut album Fele Asha in 2006 featured by famous singer Balam. Her first album Fele Asha has created a fierce stir in the music industry of Bangladesh and conveyed huge popularity.
