Kumar Bishwajit first started his musical journey in a radio show in 1977. Then he went to Dhaka to build his career in the music industry. After coming to Dhaka, Bishwajit joined “Rhythm – 77” then, In 1977, he created his band “Feelings.” Then he left the “Feelings” Band and joined with “Souls,” and released his first album. The album song “Tore Putuler Moto Kore Shajiye” became very popular when it was released. It was the first album of the “Souls” band, named “Super Souls,” in 1982. After getting success from this album, he left the band and went ahead with his solo singing career. In 1980, his first performance was a show on BTV.
In his music career, he sang many famous songs like “Tumi Roj Bikele Amar Bagane Ful Nite Ashte,” “Vita Nai Ree,” “Ami Sampane Badhibo Ghor,” “Manush Buro Hoy Mon Buro Hoy na,” “Metal Hawa Keno Buker Majhe Mishe”, “Sei Kotha Sei Smriti Cilam Khelar Sathi” and many others. He completed more than 30 solo music albums as of April 2014. He works in Film music also like “Wrong Number (2004)”, “Swami Streer Wada (2009)”, “Jaago (2010)” and “Ma Amar Chokher Moni (2011)” and “Jaago – Dare to Dream (2010) ”.
