About Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan was born on November 7, 1954 in Parthasarathy Srinivasan. He is an Indian actor, dancer, director, director, screenwriter, producer, performer, lyricist and politician who works mainly in Tamil cinema. Kamal has won several awards, including four national film awards, the second prize awarded by an Indian actor and nineteen Filmfare Awards. His production company, Raaj Kamal Films International, has produced several of his films.

Kamal Haasan was born to D. Srinivasan, a lawyer and Rajalakshmi, housewife. His brothers, Charuhasan and Chandrahasan, also played. Kamal’s sister, Nalini (born 1946), is a classical dancer. He attended primary school in Paramakudi before settling in Madras (now Chennai) while his brothers were pursuing higher education. Kamal continued his studies in Santhome, Madras, and was attracted to the cinema and the fine arts, encouraged by his father.
