Joseph Charles Buttler better known as Jos Buttler is an English Cricketer who is a wicket-keeper Batsman. He was born in Taunton Town in Somerset, England. Jos used to play cricket for King’s College in 2008 then in 2009, he started playing professional cricket for Somerset in England’s Domestic Cricket. Buttler has also represented England in Under-19 cricket. He made his national debut in England’s National Team in 2011 and played his first T20 international match in 2011 against India.

Career

  • Jos Buttler initially used to play for King’s College in 2008. Later in 2009, his team only lost 1 of 17 matches played under his captaincy.
  • Then in 2010 Jos was named Young Wisden Schools Cricketer Of The Year.
  • He has even played Under-13, Under-15, Under-17 and Under-18.
  • In 2009, Jos made his Domestic debut for Somerset and impressed everyone with his batting skills which finally led him selected for Under-19 team.

  • Then for 2018 IPL season, he was bought by Rajasthan Royals for 4.4 Crores Rupees.
  • He struggled for form in first half of tournament but when he was asked to open the innings his stats were improved and scored five consecutive fifty plus scores and became only the second batsman to achieve that feat in IPL.
  • Buttler was retained by Rajasthan Royals for 2019 IPL.
