Career

Initially Jay Bhanushali worked as a model. After modelling he decided to try in acting and so he started acting. In the year 2005 he started his acting career with most famous TV serial of that time named “Kasauti Zindagi Ki”. In the next year he started anchoring. In 2007 he appeared in TV show “Dhoom Machaao Dhoom”. When Ekta Kapoor selected him to play Neev Shergill in Kayamath, he got his biggest break. This show won many awards. In the same year he appeared in “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2” and finished as 2nd runner-up. Next year he participated in “Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket“ here he ended in 6th place. He also appeared as a wild-card in the show “Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao” in 2009. Also in that year, Bhanushali co-hosted “Dance India Dance”.

In 2010 he worked with Saroj Khan on the reality show “Nachle Ve”. As part of the show “Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi”, he portrayed the role of Yash Malhotra in 2010. He has won some awards, including the “Boroplus Gold Award for Best Anchor” in 2010 & 2012, “Zee Rishtey Award” for Favorite Host. Along with Surveen Chawla, he debuts in Bollywood industry in 2014 in the romantic thriller “Hate Story 2”. He also played the role of Gyani in ”Desi Kattey”. He was appeared in Bollywood film “Ek Paheli Leela” as a Karan along with Rajneesh Duggal and Sunny Leone. He was part of the famous stunt-based reality show “Khatron Ke Khiladi 7” and was eliminated after the second week. But he again enetered after the fifth week and stayed till ninth week.
