Sharma made his Bollywood debut with the movie Pyar Ka Punchnama where he played a character called Liquid and won the Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer Male for his role in this film. He has also played the role of the poet Omi in David Dhawan’s remake of Chashme Baddoor. Divyendu did his graduation in political science from Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College and then he worked for three years of theatre experience in Delhi after that he pursued a two-year diploma in acting from FTII, Pune. He has also appeared in a number of various ads for brands like Virgin Mobile, Birla Sun Life and Fidelity Mutual Funds.
