Deepika Padukone was born on January 5, 1986 in Copenhagen, Denmark, of parents speaking konkani. His father, Prakash Padukone, is a former world-renowned badminton player and his mother, Ujjala, is a travel agency. Her youngest sister, Anisha, is a golfer. Her paternal grandfather, Ramesh, was secretary of the Mysore Badminton Association. The family moved to Bangalore, India, when Padukone was one year old.
