After completing his MBA degree from IIMA he joined ABN Amro Bank here he worked for almost 3 years. But he never wanted to work for other he always wanted to start his own venture. He brought AMF bowling with an idea to set up bowling alleys in India but due to some reason this cant be happened because of his boss. His boss was live in the US and did not want to provide any mentorship. Even after starting 200 lanes this game couldn’t strike the right chords with the Indian crowd. In 1999 he went back to corporate sector and started working for GE capital as a VP of Business Development. He also worked as an Independent Director by IndiaMART InterMESH Ltd.

In 2000, After seeing Google and Yahoo touching new heights and while he was trying to sell his wife’s car online he got idea of MakeMyTrip and he started it. His wish was to eliminate stingy travel agents and make easier to plan cost effective trips for travelers. After spending 2 million USD from eVentures and other co-founders Keyur Joshi, Sachin Bhatia and Rajesh Magow he started one of the most famous and useful website named MakeMyTrip. Since Aug 2013 he is working as a Group CEO. Currently MakeMyTrip owns many online travel brands such as goibibo and redbus.

Along with MakeMyTrip he is also a co-founders of Ashoka University. He is also one of the founders of a NGO named “I am Gurgaon”. He is also working as Chairman of Internet Group named National Association of Software and Service Cos. He is a president of Indus Entrepreneurs. ^[2]IMDB
