She became popular after her role as Sita in the series Ramayana with her husband Gurmeet Chaudhary. Other than TV shows she also appeared in some movies. Along with acting, she also famous for her dance as she also appeared in some Dance reality shows.

Debina Bonnerjee was born in a Hindu Brahmin family on 18 April 1983 in Kolkata, West Bengal. Her father’s name is Asoke Bonnerjee and her mother’s name is Sabari Bonnerjee. She has a brother named Amitava Bonnerjee and her sister-in-law is Pinal Shah.

Debina Bonnerjee is married to actor Gurmeet Choudhary. The two met each other during a talent hunt show as contestants. Both started dating each other while shooting for the TV serial Ramayana. They secretly married each other in 2006 at a temple in Goregaon without the consent of their parents. However, they married officially in the year 2011 again. Their friends and fans fondly call them, Gurbina.

Always aspired to make her career in the entertainment world, Debina started her career as a model. In the year 2003, Debina made her acting debut with the movie “Indian Babu”. Post that, Bonnerjee did a number of movies including Ammayilu Abbayilu, Nanjundi, etc.

Debina Bonnerjee has worked in different languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The actress has also done a guest appearance in her husband’s movie. Even though Debina has done movies on the big screen but she rose to fame only after she moved to the small screen industry.
