Bari Siddiqui was born on November 15, 1954, in Netrokona, East Bengal, (now Bangladesh) to a music-loving family. He was so much passionate about music world from early life and started learning music at the family. Siddiqui learned music from Gopal Dutt when he was only 12 years old. He also took lesson under Ustad Aminur Rahman for six years later he received professional tutelage under V. G. Karnaad in Pune, India. He studied at Anjuman Govt. School and Netrokona Govt. College. Bari enrolled at the University of Dhaka and completed bachelor’s degree in Islamic History.

Bari Siddiqui kicked off the career journey joining the Bangladesh Television in 1985. Being inspired by the writer he entered into the music arena in the 1990s. He made his debut television music program ‘Ronger Baroi. Bari comes to the timeline around the showbiz arena when he played back in the movie ‘Srabon Megher Din’ in 1999 and never looked back in the career. In the movie, she sang six songs, most of the songs became the super hit and he won the Bachsas Award for his music direction and song Showa Chan Pakhi.
