Arzan Rohinton Nagwaswalla commonly known as Arzan Nagwaswalla is an Indian Cricketer and has represented Gujarat at the Under-16s, Under-19s and Under-23 level. Nagwaswalla became popular and got into limelight for his ability to swing the red ball. Arzan is not very active on social media and has over 4.5K followers on Instagram.
He was born in Surat, but grew up in Nargol, a village which is situated near Maharashtra border in Umbergoan town in Gujarat. Arzan now resides in Valsad, which is in close proximity to Ahmedabad.
He is a left-arm medium-pacer who has a very smooth and clean action and has the ability to swing the ball both ways.
Nagwaswalla has represented Gujarat at various stages in the Under-16, U-19 and U-22 tournaments. Then in the year 2019, Arzan became the first Parsi cricketer since Mumbai’s Zubin Barucha (1992-1995) to play Ranji Trophy tournament.
Before getting the opportunity to play with a few Ranji Trophy players, Arzan was initially coached by his brother Vispi after that he got this opportunity in his hometown and that helped him develop his skill and have a career in the game.
He has recently rose to fame when he got picked as one of the four standby players in India’s Test squad for the final of the World Test Championships(WTC) to be held on 18 June and he is also named in the series against England.
The pace-friendly conditions in England will help Arzan trouble the batters. Since he has not been exposed to international cricket and in the IPL, the English players might not have much idea about his bowling exploits.
There are very less chances of his debut at WTC FInal and if something miraculous happens he might get a chance.
