Rajeev Khandelwal is a well-known Indian actor, host, singer, and voice artist. He is best known for his work in Hindi television/web series and Bollywood movies. Rajeev shot to fame with his character of Sujal Garewal in the famous TV show Kahiin To Hoga.

Rajeev Khandelwal was born in a Marwari Family on 16 October 1975 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. He was born to Col. C.L. Khandelwal, retired army personnel, and Vijayalaxmi Khandelwal. Rajeev has an elder brother, Rahul Khandelwal, and a younger brother, Sanjeev Khandelwal. He was rumored to be dating co-star, Aamna Sharif, while they were shooting for the TV serial Kahiin Toh Hoga. In 2007, Khandelwal adopted a girl child, Swati, from the Muskaan institute. He married his longtime girlfriend, Manjiri Kamtikar on 7 February 2011.

Life Journey

Rajeev Khandelwal completed his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jaipur. Later he joined St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad to attain a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He performed at a stage show when he was in 3rd standard. From here, Rajeev developed an interest in acting. When Rajeev was in 9th standard, he gave an audition for Punjab Doordarshan and got chosen. Unluckily, Rajeev could not feature in the show as it was a 3-month outdoor shoot and his father did not allow for it.

Being from a family with an army background, it was never smooth for him to join the acting industry. During his last year of college, Rajeev was thrown out of the home due to his obscure nature. Rajeev was so annoyed with the conflict that he moved to Delhi and lived with some drivers at his cousin’s friend’s flat. He began his career by creating documentaries and writing scripts.

Before making his TV debut, Khandelwal modeled for a few brands including Green Label Whiskey, LML, and Videocon. In 1998, Rajeev made his TV debut with the DD National’s serial Banphool. In the year 2002, he portrayed a negative role in the show Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat.

In the year 2002, Rajeev was offered Balaji Telefilms’ Kahiin To Hoga, a romantic drama. He played the role of Sujal Garewal who is 6 feet tall, rich, darkly handsome, a Mills & Boonish hero, and a scorned lover. For playing the role of Sujal Garewal, he became a receiver of many awards and accolades for Best Debut and Best Actor.

Rajeev was seen as the RAW Field Officer Varun Awasthi in Ketan Mehta’s action television series, Time Bomb 9/11 in 2005.
